Baidu Content Security Center removed a total of 15.49 billion pieces of harmful information throughout the quarter, including 15.47 billion pieces of harmful information relating to pornography and gambling by using AI technology, and 21.795 million pieces of harmful information concerning pornography and copyright infringement through manual inspections.

To be specific, in Q1 2023, Baidu Search removed more than 1.5 billion pieces of harmful information; Baidu Tiebe intercepted over 140 million pieces of harmful information; Baidu Netdisk removed over 44.55 million pornographic and illegal documents; Baijiahao d 540,000 pieces of harmful information mainly concerning misinformation and vulgar pornography.

The special governance on pornographic information is a long-term action of Baidu Content Security Center. In Q1 2023, Baidu’s products d 67,092 sets of pornographic and harmful keywords and 12,998 sets of subsidiary words, blocked 1,083,328 accounts, suspended 3,109 Tieba forums, and terminated more than 7.16 billion harmful links throughout the quarter.

Moreover, the Baidu Netizen Rights Protection Plan refunded and compensated 12,266 complaints and a total of 2.11 million yuan of losses were recovered for netizens.
